It’s time for another installment of What I Made // What I paid, a monthly feature for paid subscribers in which I demystify the glamorous freelance/publishing lifestyle. Each month, I’ll share exactly how much I made from my creative work, along with my estimated tax liability. (This does not include the vast wealth I’ve accumulated in my role as a Chicago Public Schools crossing guard.)
March was… fine. I made enough to cover the bills. I also started applying to full-time media jobs again, which is very scary, but feels necessary because I’m a little too stir-crazy to hack the full-time freelance lifestyle for much longer.
