Exercise, for me, is key to keeping The Horrors at bay. In the winter, a good set of stairs (if available) to run up and down a few times is a great way to tire myself out quickly without having to go outside.
Also, I second the USPS. Media mail for books always and forever.
VWW for the win! I've tried to get outside every day in January and as a fellow midwesterner, that can be... challenging! But I'm very disappointed to report, moving my body around in the outdoors makes me feel one hundred time better than writing in my bed cave.
every comment from me to you must start with this: I fckn love you.
ok now down to wusiness (women business): USPS over UPS any day. they're cheaper (esp if sending book(s), you can send via "media mail" and it's discounted) and just as mean
as for keeping your body alive--I would also like to recommend yin yoga and naps <3
xoxo,
another stressed+creative girly with severe TMJ :/
I hate to report that meditation works, which I’d tried to avoid until a doctor told me this year that it was a must. I use an app (10% Happier) but have started to go it alone too. Big fan of VVW too, and thanks for the catchy acronym!
When my first book came out I was so stressed I started panicking about choking. For two weeks I exclusively ate soup because I was so afraid of choking. Then, like magic, it went away and hasn't come back (yet.) WHAT
I can extremely relate to the book launch stress! I also had to get a set up together to get me off my couch and turns out getting out on walks does really help me too.

I, too, must jog The Horrors away! You'd think our stupid bodies would've figured out a better way by now, ugh
